The space is located on the top floor of a Soho loft building with east, south and west exposures. Industrial packing felt, translucent pearlized and iridescent blue glass, mesh scrims, wenge wood, chalkboard and aluminum were utilized to create a series of spaces that are discreetly separate yet open to each other. As light moves from east to west, the space is activated by the various reflections from the glass, creating views of translucency and transparency. Juxtaposing art and fashion, EOA referenced a variety of artists as well as the concept of manipulated perception. This project deals with illusions and light. The final outcome is one in which visual layering creates images that call reality into question – the perfect reflection of the fashion industry.
